Monitoring Netlify DNS
Monitoring your Netlify DNS records automatically is made easy with ZoneWatcher. After you've added your personal access token, we will automatically import all of your DNS zones and begin monitoring them for changes.
Creating your Netlify Provider
First, you'll need to generate a personal access token from your Netlify account. Visit https://app.netlify.com/user/applications and create a new token with access to your DNS zones.
Once you have your personal access token, create your new Netlify provider on ZoneWatcher by giving it a descriptive name and entering your token. After saving, we'll immediately begin importing your DNS zones.
Generating a Personal Access Token
- Log in to your Netlify account
- Navigate to User Settings → Applications
- Scroll to the Personal access tokens section
- Click New access token
- Give your token a descriptive name (e.g., "ZoneWatcher DNS Monitoring")
- Copy the generated token immediately (you won't be able to see it again)
- Paste the token into ZoneWatcher when creating your provider
Monitoring Your Zones
After you've created your Netlify provider, we will sync all DNS zones associated with your account and their DNS records. You'll be able to view them from either the Provider's page or the Zone Dashboard.
ZoneWatcher will regularly check your DNS records for changes and notify you when any modifications are detected, helping you stay on top of your domain configurations and security.
