Monitoring LeaseWeb DNS

Monitoring your LeaseWeb DNS records automatically is made easy with ZoneWatcher. After you've added your account credentials, we will automatically import all of your domains and begin monitoring them for changes.

Generating your LeaseWeb API Credentials

To get started adding your LeaseWeb account, you'll first need to generate an API key from the LeaseWeb Customer Portal. The API key allows ZoneWatcher to securely access your DNS domains and records.

You can generate your API credentials by visiting the LeaseWeb API Client Management page in your customer portal.

Steps to Generate API Key:

  1. Log in to your LeaseWeb Customer Portal
  2. Navigate to API Management or API Client section
  3. Click on "Create API Key" or "Generate New Key"
  4. Provide a descriptive name for your API key (e.g., "ZoneWatcher DNS Monitoring")
  5. Ensure the API key has permissions to read DNS domains and records
  6. Copy the generated API key immediately (it may not be shown again)

Creating your LeaseWeb Provider

Once you've generated your API key in the LeaseWeb Customer Portal, you can create your new LeaseWeb provider on ZoneWatcher by giving it a descriptive name and pasting the API Key.

Monitoring Your Zones

After you've created your LeaseWeb provider, ZoneWatcher will automatically sync all the domains associated with your account and their DNS records. You'll be able to view and monitor them from either the Provider's page or the Zone Dashboard.

ZoneWatcher will continuously monitor your DNS records for any changes. You'll receive notifications when records are added, modified, or deleted, helping you maintain security and prevent unauthorized DNS changes.
