Monitoring INWX DNS
Monitoring your INWX records automatically is made easy with ZoneWatcher. After you've added your account credentials, we will automatically import all of your domains and begin monitoring them for changes.
INWX API credentials
ZoneWatcher signs in to the INWX nameserver API with the same username and password you use for the INWX control panel. You can read the API documentation on INWX's website here.
Credential Fields
Username: Your INWX account username
Password: Your INWX account password
Mobile TAN shared secret: Optional. Required only when the account uses Google Authenticator
Two-factor authentication
If your INWX account uses Google Authenticator, paste the Base32 shared secret into the Mobile TAN field. ZoneWatcher uses it to unlock the API session. Other second-factor methods are not supported.
IP allow-list
If you asked INWX to enable an IP allow-list on your account, include ZoneWatcher's egress addresses. Without them, INWX will reject the login.
Creating your INWX Provider
Once you have your credentials, you can create your new INWX provider on ZoneWatcher by giving it a descriptive name and entering your username and password.
What's Next?
After creating your INWX provider, ZoneWatcher will automatically begin importing your domains and DNS records. You'll receive notifications whenever changes are detected in your DNS configuration.
